Nicholas Rattenbury
Nicholas Rattenbury studied physics at The University of Auckland, New Zealand, obtaining a PhD in 2004. He spent several years as a post-doctoral research associate at The University of Manchester’s Jodrell Bank Observatory and Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, developing a technique for the discovery of extra-solar planets based on Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. He has contributed to the discovery of several planets, improving the general understanding of whether Earth-like planets are common in the Universe. Nicholas joined W.P. Thompson and Co. in 2009. He works mainly with electrical, mechanical and computer-implemented inventions. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Manchester.
